C. David Russell’s career includes costume and scenic design, costume and property crafts, event design, project management, fine arts exhibitions and teaching. He is currently Assistant Professor of Scenic Design and head of the Production Design and Technology Program at Ohio University’s Theater Division, where he formerly served as Instructor of Costume Crafts Technology and Costume Design.

C. David Russell is the Resident Designer for Enchantment Theatre Company, based in Philadelphia. He has served as costume and/or scenic designer for numerous productions for the Resident Ensemble Players in Newark, Delaware. Russell has also designed Scenery and Costumes  for Tantrum Theater in Dublin Ohio.  He has designed costumes for The Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey, The Pittsburgh Public Theater, and Theater Works in Hartford, Connecticut. In addition, Russell served as event designer and project manager for LIV Design and Design ETC in New York City, for the International Toy Fair.

In addition to his design work, Russell was a staff crafts person in the prop shop at The Santa Fe Opera for 18 seasons, where he served as Master Craftsperson from 2009 through 2011.

C. David Russell received his MFA from New York University’s TISCH School for the Arts and a BFA from Ohio University’s School of Theater
